I am self-employed as a mediator and arbitrator, acting as a neutral in disputes throughout the United States. I have taught courses in mediation, arbitration and negotiation throughout the State of Montana. The first twenty years of my professional life were spent as an attorney, litigating personal injury, employment and business matters. I then taught law for three years at UCLA School of Law before beginning my current employment in 1994. I have been the President of the Montana Mediation Association, a member and then Chair of the State Bar’s Dispute Resolution Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Dispute Resolution Center of Central Montana, a non-profit corporation.(now the Community Mediation Center). I am designated an Advanced Practitioner in Family Mediation by the Association of Conflict Resolution.
Most recently I taught part time as an adjunct professor in the College of Business at Montana State University from 2007-2012 (Introduction to Law, Business Ethics, and Negotiation). I was a member of the Bozeman School Board for eight years, Chair for two years. I am presently a City Commissioner for the City of Bozeman.
I am married with four children, three granddaughters and one grandson.
